We have had a great Mothers Day so far if I do say so myself (although I guess the real judge is Kristal). We just ate a meal that I prepared 100% myself and the kids gave presents. First, the kids sang today in Sacrament Meeting with the primary and we decided to record them tonight:
Abby wrote a letter with the following poem:
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
You're the best mom
and that is true.
Here is the card:
At school, Alex wrote this:
It translates to (loosely):
The best
A mother you can not choose
but if I could
Than you would be first on my list
Hannah gave Kristal a card with an original poem that shows a lot of promise to a long successful writing career:
Roses are red.
Violets are blue.
The roaches are dead
and the rats are too.
So then what I did
I went to the fridge
and the cheese was blue
So then I called my whole family
Yes the whole crew
We looked at it for a second
didn't know what to do
So I just took a bite
and started to chew
But everything I chewed
out I threw
So Mom, Happy Mothers Day
I am sooo proud!
